tThe official server of University of Kentucky-College of Pharmacy was hacked and database was leaked online by @AnonAntidote of Anonymous hacking group.
The hack was announce by @AnonAntidote on their official Twitter account.
The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy is a college of pharmacy located in Lexington, Kentucky. It is part of the Albert B. Chandler Hospital of the University of Kentucky, which is providing health care services and education
The hackers managed to bypass all securities set against this site and have not only hacked the US National Weather Service website but also gained access to sensitive data stored, which has now been leaked to PasteBay: http://pastebay.net/1151108.
The leaked data is available on PasteBay, which has the usernames, emails addresses with plain text passwords, plain text admin passwords, tables and columns from the university’s server. The emails are distributed in seven category boxes where each box has emails with their passwords in plain text.
Maybe it is time for US consider getting better security as the cyber-attacks on USA do not seem to be easing off and will no doubt continue at an alarming rate.
At the time of writing this article, the website of University of Kentucky-College of Pharmacy was working normally.
